Co-Axial Escapement

NASA and the Speedmaster

In 1965, NASA approved the Speedmasters use in piloted missions, and since then, it has been present on all six lunar landings, earning the moniker "the Moonwatch."

Since becoming the inaugural timepiece worn on the Moon in July 1969, the Speedmaster has gained recognition as one of the most celebrated chronographs globally. It was the only watch to ever pass the tests needed to prepare for their space missions.
